With Foreign Word a student can type in, just about, any word and instantly see the translation for that word in the language of their choice. With the use of this website learning a foreign language will become a whole lot easier!

Babbel is an online interactive software that reinforces foreign language learning through a game-type format.  Students complete activities such as matching words to their translations, translating sentences with a selection of given words, as well as many other interactive games which assist in the remembrance of commonly used words.  This is a great tool for students of all levels, as there are different series of training based upon your knowledge capacity.  When registering for a Babbel account your can select anywhere from 'no knowledge' to 'advanced knowledge' and this will help determine the content that is presented to you in the various challenges.  This would be a great tool for students of any age who are studying a foreign language.

Foreign Language software is expense and students are limited to competing most assignments at school. 


Technology Description:

Duolingo is a great tool for learning or teaching a Foreign Language.  This is a software that can be used either online using the website, or it can be downloaded to other types of electronic devices in the form of an application. Duolingo is formatted to be used as little as 10 minutes a day, while still reinforcing the fundamentals of the language one is trying to learn.  When using Duolingo your progress is saved after each use and the application using the information when developing the next lesson, allowing the student to work on their weakest areas.  As students continue to use the software they can track their progress and see their scores on the different categories they have completed.  This would be a great resource for teachers when tracking their students work, and looking for areas that need reinforcement.
